SCC ZONAL CONVENTION FOR THE DIOCESES OF SATNA, SAGAR, JABALPUR AND GWALIOR

MP Region conducted a Two day Zonal convention for the dioceses of Satna, Sagar, Jabalpur and Gwalior dioceses. It was conducted on 11th and 12th November 2016 at Edessa Pastoral Center, Pateri, Satna. About 100participants (priests, Sisters and laity) from the dioceses of Satna, Sagar and Jabalpur along with their Bishops Rt. Rev. Dr. Joseph Kodakallil (Satna) Regional SCC chairman, Rt. Rev. Dr. Antony Chirayath (Sagar) and Rt. Rev. Dr. Jerald Almeidi (Jabalpur) took part in the convention. This was the second zonal convention held in MP. The first one was in Khandwa in the month of August.
Inaugural function consisted of a Eucharistic procession, Bible veneration, Lighting of the lamp and Holy Eucharistic celebration.
This was followed by welcome to the guests and sharing of SCC activities, experiences etc from the SCC members with the Bishops and NST representative and sharing of SCC activities, experiences etc from the SCC members with the Bishops and NST representative.
There were input sessions on the importance of the Word of God in our lives, on seven step Gospel Sharing method and Spirituality of SCC.
UJJAIN
Ujjain Diocese conducted a one day orientation programme for SCC on 13th November. The Regional Team Fr. Thomas Lal Pathil and Mr. Vijay Masani were the main resource persons.
