ANPIAM GREETS YOU ALL !

It is with immense pleasure and joy, we, the Chairman Bishop and the secretary of TNLBC Commission for Small Christian Communities (SCCs) – ANPIAM present the report of its activities.
We in Tamilnadu, call Small Christian Communities (SCCs) as ANPIAM the meaning and significance of the new strategy i.e. ANPIAM indicates

A. Animating: Not by dominant leadership but by animating the gifts and talents of          the  laity in   Small Christian Communities.

N. New: To take the Church with all the challenges of the day and imperfections towards a new way of being the Church with creativity and Charisma.

P. Pastoral: To prioritize the pastoral work among the SCCs enlisting encouraging maximum participation and rightful intervention.

I. Integral: To promote holistic pastoral care where children, youth, couple, elderly and sick are given personal care to help them grew as children of God with equality and spirituality as disciples of Jesus.

A. Approach: Progressing and marching towards objective with different levels of formation, commitment and by being and living with the people.

M. Mission: As it is the mission of the Church in building the mystical body of Christ for its stability and growth, every member of the Church should be oriented through SCCs.

1 Resource Material Preparation and Translation. Enabling SCCs for Socio-Economic-Political Action. Helping the animators to conduct the SCCs meeting in a meaningful and interesting way and to encourage the Diocesan activities.
2 General Body Meeting 85 selected Members of General Body Meeting actively participated and openly shared their views in the meeting.Discuss at length how to create political awareness in Anpiams.  Helps to evaluate overall activities of ANPIAMS to be mutually enriched by sharing. Trying to find answers to the challenges of ANPIAM.
3 Meetings of the Diocesan Secretaries. Input session, Planning for the future activities at various level, Mutual encouragement and sharing of activities in the presence of Chairman Bishop.
4 Parish Anpiam Renewal Programmes People realize the real spirit of Anpiam, Experience radical changes, Celebrate and witness their faith.
5 ANPIAM MAGAZINE 7 Dioceses have the periodical magazine to make the people involved in the SCCs activities with much enthusiasm and vigor, to help them for conducting SCCs meetings, to know the happenings of the SCCs at diocesan level and to co-ordinate the Animators of ANPIAM.
6 Immersion and Exposure Programmes To provocate the true Spirit of Anpiam .Going to the parishes staying with the people, visiting the houses and organize them into SCCs and make them involve in church activities. We have formed and strengthened SCCs in 4 parishes in Chennai, Pondicherry, Ooty and Kumbakonam dioceses.
7 Visiting of the Dioceses Knowing and encouraging the activities of Anpiam In the Dioceses.
8 Vicariate Co-ordination To understand the different activities of the SCCs of the Parishes. Motivate animators of ANPIAM to actively and voluntarily involve in the activities of SCCs at parish and vicariate levels.
9 ANPIAM AGAPPE It took place during the Parish Feast Day. People brought the food items from their homes when they came for Mass and place it in front of the Altar. After mass parish priest blessed the food items (more than ten items) and they were served equally.
10 ANPIAM DAY CELEBRATION Each ANPIAM is having the name of a saint. On the When the feast of the particular saint, all members of the ANPIAM Celebrate it in a grand scale by participating actively in liturgical celebration and visiting the orphanage, Mercy Homes and provide them food and cloth.
11 Parish Zonal Coordination In each parish all SCCs are divided into Zones. Each zone consists of 8 to 15 ANPIAMS. They gather at different occasions depending upon the parochial and for the various activities to accomplish as joint – venture.
12 Sunday and Feast day Preaching on ANPIAM Making use of the preaching on Parish Feast Days and Sundays to imbibe the true spirit of ANPIAM in the minds of the faithful.
13 ANPIAM during Charismatic Preaching The values and life-witnessing dimension of ANPIAM are being expressed deeply.
14 Election for the Animators of ANPIAM After 3 years New animators are elected at Parish, Vicariate and Diocesan levels.
15 Training for the Seminarians To have a Clear cut idea on ANPIAM.
16 Visiting of the ANPIAM Houses Going to the grass root level and to have a close relation with the members of the ANPIAM.
17 ANPIAM Christmas Celebrations at Regional, Diocesan, Parish levels, and at the level of individual ANPIAM To strengthen the unity among the members and to encourage the activities like visiting orphanage or disabled centre to help the inmates by giving cloths and providing food.
18 Seminar on Anpiam and Family. To transmit good values from ANPIAM to families and vice versa.
19 Seminar on Anpiam and Good Health To make the members of the ANPIAM to be aware of their health related activities.
20 ANPIAM-wise quiz and Essay Competition To increase the active involvement among the members of ANPIAM.
21 All in one Various activities of the Parishes and the diocesan commissions are coordinated and directed in and through ANPIAM

8 Cultural Programme on SCCs People found it very useful and it created a lot of change in understanding SCCs.
9 Cancer Awareness Programme
through ANPIAMS
Scientific survey on the increasing rate of special death due to cancer. Action has been undertaken by the diocese of Kottar to establish special cancer ward in district Medical college campus.
10 Training on Servant Leadership to the Animators of ANPIAM. To enable Animators to approach the Members of ANPIAM in a more loving way for any of the SCCs activities.
11 ANPIAM BLOOD CLUB (ABC) To help the sick person who are in need of Blood and thus save the life. It is in remembrance of our Lord shedding His blood for our redemption.
12 Involvement of the Catechists Reaching the people very easily and encouraging them and bringing the families for meetings who are continuously avoiding for a long time. They are going for many places as a Resource person.
13 ANPIAM INTERCESSARY UNIT Once in a week and also once in a month few selected animators of Diocesan ANPIAM come together for a particular church for praying to the ANPIAMS, Parishes, Country and world.
14 Follow –up Meeting of the Goa Convention Conducive to find proper and practical measures to put in action the decisions taken at Goa convention in
Parish, vicariate, diocesan and regional levels.
15 Seminar for the Religious on Anpiam To help them understand the real spirit of ANPIAM and motivate them to actively involve in the activities of the local SCCs. 30 Religious Participated in 1 day Programme.
16 Celebration of ANPIAM Month Jan 2016    With a view to implement the call of the Pope Francis in his recent encyclical ‘Laudato Si’    (Praise be to God), ‘Our Earth Our Home ’  has been chosen  as the general  theme for the celebration of the ANPIAM MONTH, JAN 2016. To highlight this general theme  sub-specific themes have been selected for each week. First week: Nature is the Gift of God ; Second week: Environmental Degradation ; Third week: Degradation  of Human Dignity; Fourth week: Public Welfare  is our  Common Responsibility  and Fifth week: Simple life is Divine  life. Wall-posters and handbooks were sent to all dioceses and they were useful and helpful throughout Tamil Nadu for Anpiam Month celebration.
17 Diocesan level ANPIAN Convention Motivate the people to actively participate in ANPIAM activities and bring out their talents and various skills for the welfare of the church.
18 Animators’ Training Going to deeper level of Pastoral approach of Anpiams
19 Diocesan General Body Meeting Plans have been sketched out to co-ordinate the ANPIAM activities at Vicariate and Diocesan Levels and to strengthen the dormant ANPIAMS.
20 National Seminar for the Secretaries of SCC’s Enlightened with different ways of Gospel Sharing with clear vision and Mission. Two persons from TN participated at Prabodhana, Mysore.

Five Zones

For the effective functioning of the activities we have divided all the 18 dioceses of Tamilnadu and Pondicherry in to 5 Zones.

St. John De Britto zone consists of 3 diocese namely  ‘ Madurai Archdiocese. Dindigul Diocese and Sivagangai Diocese.

 

Our Lady of Good Health Zone consists of 3 dioceses namely  ‘ Trichy . Thanjavur  and Kumbakonam  Dioceses..Please find a photos taken at the zonal training at Madurai.

 

St.Alphosammal Zone consists of 4 dioceses namely  ‘ Coimbatore, Ooty, Dharmapury and Salem  Dioceses.

 

St..Francis Xavier SCCs zone  consists of 4 dioceses namely  ‘ Palayamkottai,tuticorine,Kottar   and Kuzhithurai  Dioceses.

 

St. Thomas  SCCs zone  consists of 4 dioceses namely  ‘ Chennai-Mylapore, Pondicherry, Vellore   and Chengulpattu   Dioceses.

1.ANIMATORS TRAINING PROGRAMME in the diocese of Dharmapuri.278 persons participated in it.Bishop Lawrence pious Durariraj participated in that programme and encouraged the participants. Fr. Gandhi was the resource person for this programme.
It was very helpful for the animators for their active involvement in SCCs. They request us to contact this programme now and then.

The month of January of every year has been promulgated by the Tamilnadu Bishops’  Council as “Month of SCCs / Anpiams.

” The month is being celebrated with special themes pronounced by the TamilNadu Bishops Council  (TNBC) more meaningfully and befittingly.

ANPIAM MONTH- JANUARY 2017   ‘JOY IN FAMILY ’

With a view to implement the call of the Pope Francis in his recent  apostolic exhortation ‘Amoris Laetitia’

(The Joy of Love), ‘JOY IN FAMILY ’  has been chosen  as the general  theme for the celebration of the ANPIAM MONTH, JAN 2017.

To highlight this general theme, sub-specific themes have been selected for each week. First week: Joy that lies in the Word of God;

Second week: Joy in facing Challenges; Third week: Joy in the vocation of Family; Fourth week: Joy in Familial Love and Fifth week:

Joy in the midst of weakness .

 

Wall-posters and Pamphlets given to 1447 Parishes in the 18 Dioceses of Tamilnadu for the celebration of the ANPIAM MONTH, January 2017 . Announcement in this regard  was done well in advance to the people about  the meaningful celebration and  publish  it in the  parish  and diocesan News Letter and Magazine.

Celebration of ANPIAM Month
Jan 2017
With a view to implement the call of the Pope Francis in his recent  apostolic exhortation ‘Amoris Laetitia’   (The Joy of Love), JOY IN FAMILY ’  has been chosen  as the general  theme for the celebration of the ANPIAM MONTH, JAN 2017. To highlight this general theme, sub-specific themes have been selected for each week. First week: Joy that lies in the Word of God; Second week: Joy in facing Challenges; Third week: Joy in the vocation of Family; Fourth week: Joy in Familial Love and Fifth week: Joy in the midst of weakness. Wall-posters and pamphlets containing liturgical guidelines for the 5weeks of Jan for the celebration of the ANPIAM MONTH in January 2017 has been send to1447 parishes of 18 Dioceses of Tamilnadu.

It is with immense pleasure and joy, the secretary of TNLBC Commission for Small Christian Communities (SCCs) – ANPIAM  Tamilnadu present the report of its activities during the year 2015-2016 .

 

REGULAR ACTIVITIES

1 Resource Material Preparation and Translation. Enabling SCCs for Socio-Economic-Political Action. Helping the animators to conduct the SCCs meeting in a meaningful and interesting way and to encourage the Diocesan activities.
2 General Body Meeting 85 selected Members of General Body Meeting actively participated and openly shared their views in the meeting.Discuss at length how to create political awareness in Anpiams.  Helps to evaluate overall activities of ANPIAMS to be mutually enriched by sharing. Trying to find answers to the challenges of ANPIAM
3 Meetings of the Diocesan Secretaries. Input session, Planning for the future activities at various level, Mutual encouragement and sharing of activities in the presence of Chairman Bishop.
4 Parish Anpiam Renewal Programmes People realize the real spirit of Anpiam, Experience radical changes, Celebrate and witness their faith.
5 ANPIAM MAGAZINE 7 Dioceses have the periodical magazine to make the people involved in the SCCs activities with much enthusiasm and vigor, to help them for conducting SCCs meetings, to know the happenings of the SCCs at diocesan level and to co-ordinate the Animators of ANPIAM.
6 Immersion and Exposure Programmes To provocate the true Spirit of Anpiam .Going to the parishes staying with the people, visiting the houses and organize them into SCCs and make them involve in church activities. We have formed and strengthened SCCs in 4 parishes in Chennai, Pondicherry, Ooty and Kumbakonam dioceses.
7 Visiting of the Dioceses Knowing and encouraging the activities of Anpiam In the Dioceses.
8 Vicariate Co-ordination To understand the different activities of the SCCs of the Parishes. Motivate animators of ANPIAM to actively and voluntarily involve in the activities of SCCs at parish and vicariate levels.
9 ANPIAM AGAPPE It took place during the Parish Feast Day. People brought the food items from their homes when they came for Mass and place it in front of the Altar. After mass parish priest blessed the food items (more than ten items) and they were served equally.
10 ANPIAM DAY CELEBRATION Each ANPIAM is having the name of a saint. On the When the feast of the particular saint, all members of the ANPIAM Celebrate it in a grand scale by participating actively in liturgical celebration and visiting the orphanage, Mercy Homes and provide them food and cloth.
11 Parish Zonal Coordination In each parish all SCCs are divided into Zones. Each zone consists of 8 to 15 ANPIAMS. They gather at different occasions depending upon the parochial and for the various activities to accomplish as joint – venture.
12 Sunday and Feast day Preaching on ANPIAM Making use of the preaching on Parish Feast Days and Sundays to imbibe the true spirit of ANPIAM in the minds of the faithful.
13 ANPIAM during Charismatic Preaching The values and life-witnessing dimension of ANPIAM are being expressed deeply.
14 Election for the Animators of ANPIAM After 3 years New animators are elected at Parish, Vicariate and Diocesan levels.
15 Training for the Seminarians To have a Clear cut idea on ANPIAM.
16 Visiting of the ANPIAM Houses Visiting of the ANPIAM Houses Going to the grass root level and to have a close relation with the members of the ANPIAM.
17 ANPIAM Christmas Celebrations ANPIAM Christmas Celebrations at Regional, Diocesan, Parish levels, and at the level of individual ANPIAM To strengthen the unity among the members and to encourage the activities like visiting orphanage or disabled centre to help the inmates by giving cloths and providing food.

General Body  MEETING REPORT:

Tamil Nadu Regional General Body Meeting held at  Nobilee Pastoral  Central, Madurai on 29.03.2017.  83 Persons from all over Tamilnadu Participated in it.Most Rev.Dr.AMALRAJ, Bishop of Ootacamund – the Chairman Bishop  of Tamilnadu Bishops’ Council  Commission for Basic Ecclesial Communities (BECs) – ANPIAM presided the meeting.Most Rev.Dr.ANTONY PAPPUSAMY ,Archbishop of  Madurai  – the Chairman Bishop  of  Tamilnadu Bishops’ Council (TNBC) inspired us by his sharing of thought on real spirit of Anpiam. Diocesan secretaries shared the significant activities taking place in their respective dioceses  and explains  the plan for the next year. Fr.Isaias gave a talk.We had a group sharing on ANPIAM and FAMILIES. Ample time were given to clarify the doubts. The Chairman Bishop congratulated the secretaries and GB Members for their hard works and achievement and explain the important and significant of this Gb meeting.The meeting ended with the final blessings of the Chairman Bishop. Fr.Gandhi the regional secretary organised the meeting.

Report for Seminar: 
    

It took place at Kovilpatty in Palayamkottai Dioces on 18.06.2017. 125 Animators of Basic Ecclesial Communities (BECs) – ANPIAM participated in it with much enthusiasm and eagerness. Fr.Gandhi the regional secretary of the commission was the resource person of the day.He explains the recent development of ANPIAM  in all the walks of life.To attract the attention of the participants power-point presentation was used. All the animators participated in it clearly recognized  their role   and duties to a larger extend and decided to dedicate their lives for the same. Fr.Peter the Parish Priest of the St.Joseph Church, Kovilpatty organised the meeting.
